Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis, is an American producer and actress who has performed in theatre and TV and films as well, is actively involved on both sides of the screen. Her acting career started in the theatre. She then appeared in numerous television shows, independent films and mainstream film. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of prizes. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. The credits on stage include Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. In her film career, she's best known for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her work in television she's received praise for her performance in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
